Author gets third award

Columnist Julie Garton-Good was named the 2002 recipient of the International Educator of the Year award from the Real Estate Educators Association in Orlando.

Garton-Good, author of six books on real estate as well as a weekly syndicated newspaper column, also received the award in 1984 and 1995, making her the sole three-time recipient in the 25-year history of the Association.

Garton-Good's nomination cited her pioneering work in consumer awareness of the growing trends in fee-for-service real estate consulting.

President of Garton Seminars for the past 24 years, she's the founder of the National Association of Real Estate Consultants and the author of the Consumer-Certified Real Estate Consultant (C-CREC).
